Eurozone October Sentix index worsens to 219 points

(Finance) – Investor sentiment worsens in Europe. According to the latest survey conducted by the German Sentix Institute, which publishes a monthly summary indicator on the confidence of stock market operators in the Eurozone, the index stood at -21.9 points in October 2023 from -21.5 points in September. However, the data is better than analysts’ expectations which were for an indicator level of -24 points.

Sentiment on the markets also decreases current conditionswhich stands at -27 points from -22 in September, while the index of expectations it stood at -16.8 points from -21 in the previous month.

In Germany the same trend is recorded: -31.1 points for the general index, -39.5 points for current conditions, while expectations improve by 5.5 points to -22.3 points.

“There has also been little movement in the international context – comments the Sentix Institute – A positive turnaround is not yet in sight nowhere”.
