(Finance) – In the month of June 2022, the current account balance of the Euro Area closes with a surplus of 4 billion euros, compared to the red of 7 billion in May. This is what the ECB found, according to which the services component showed a positive balance of 18 billion, that of goods closed in parity, the primary income item a positive balance of 4 billion, while the secondary income item shows a deficit of 17 billion.
In the 12 months to June 2022, the current account recorded a surplus of 112 billion euros (0.9% of GDP), compared to the surplus of 361 billion (3.1% of GDP) a year earlier.
