Eurozone Consumer Confidence Worsens in August

ECB Stournaras three cuts in 2024 are the most likely

(Finance) – Signs of a slight worsening for the European consumer confidence to August.

The flash estimate of the latest monthly survey, conducted by the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Communities (DG ECFIN), highlights that consumer sentiment in the euro area is still negative and falls to -13.4 points compared to -13 in July.

The figure is slightly worse than expectations. analystswho were expecting an unchanged figure.
