EU political leaders continue their informal summit in Budapest today.
Friday’s main theme is the competitiveness of the Union, and the guests at the meeting are the former President of the European Central Bank, who wrote the competitiveness report for the Union Mario Draghi and the current CEO Christine Lagarde.
The discussion takes place in a situation where the future president of the United States Donald Trump has hinted at import duties of up to 10-20 percent, which would hit Europe hard.
The political leaders continued their discussion late Thursday night at dinner, the main topic of which was Trump’s upcoming term.
