(Telestock) – Positive balance for the financial markets of the Old Continent; widespread purchases also affect the FTSE MIB, which is moving on the same bullish wave as other Euroland lists. Investors’ attention remains on the corporate results season, to confirm or deny expectations of growth in profits in the coming quarters.
On the macroeconomic front, Istat reported that in July 2024 there were conflicting signals from the climate of opinion of economic operatorsaccording to Istat: the consumer confidence climate index is estimated to increase from 98.3 to 98.9 (the highest value since February 2022); instead the composite indicator of business confidence climate falls from 94.5 to 94.2 (down for the fourth consecutive month and below the average of the last 12 months).
No significant changes for theEuro / US Dollarwhich is trading at the same levels as yesterday at 1.086. TheGold shows a timid gain, with an increase of 0.40%. A fractional decline for the petrolium (Light Sweet Crude Oil), which leaves, for now, 0.47% on the floor.
At the same levels as yesterday spreadwhich remains at +138 basis points, with the 10-year BTP yield which stands at 3.79%.
Among the main European stock exchanges modest performance for Frankfurtwhich shows a moderate increase of 0.37%, resistant Londonwhich marks a small increase of 0.70%, and moves in positive territory Parisshowing an increase of 0.87%.
Slight increase for the Milan Stock Exchangewith the FTSE MIB which rises by 0.22% to 33,844 points; along the same lines, the FTSE Italia All-Share proceeds in small steps, advancing to 36,052 points. Just above parity the FTSE Italia Mid Cap (+0.21%); as well as fractional gains for the FTSE Italia Star (+0.24%).
Between best italian stocks large cap, money on ENIwhich recorded a rise of 3.38% (after the quarterly report above expectations and the promise of an acceleration in the buyback). A decidedly positive balance sheet for Brunello Cucinelliwhich boasts a growth of 3.38%. Good performance for Monclerwhich grows by 2.89%. Supported Leonardowith a decent gain of 2.58%.
The strongest drops, however, occur on STMicroelectronicswhich continues the session with -3.10% (analysts have cut their ratings after the disappointing quarterly results). A sharp decline for Stellantiswhich marks a -2.21%. Under pressure Italgaswith a sharp decline of 1.65%. It moves below parity MPS Bankshowing a decrease of 1.38%.
Among the protagonists of the FTSE MidCap, Webuild (+4.99%, confirmed the guidance after the first half of the year with growth), Pharmanutra (+3.45%), Saint Lawrence (+2.55%) and Piaggio (+2.44%).
The worst performances, however, are recorded on Ariston Holdingwhich gets -7.38% (it cut its 2024 guidance after a sharp decline in the second quarter). A slump in Tinextawhich shows a fall of 6.14%. It suffers Replywhich shows a loss of 1.81%. Prey of sellers Generali Bankwith a decrease of 1.62%.
