The European Car of the Year 2022 award, the winner of which was announced as part of a special event, went to an electric car for the third time.
The expected day has come for the European Car of the Year 2022 award, which came to our agenda with the finalist lists in the last days of November. In the organization, which resulted in the evaluation of 61 jury members from 23 different countries, in the finalist list consisting of 7 models; Cupra Born, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Peugeot 308, Renault Mégane E-Tech and Skoda Enyaq were announced. Kia EV6 was the winner of the final list, which is a first in the history of the organization, as 6 of them include fully electric models. Returning with an award from almost every market it entered with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the EV6 became the winner of this year with a total of 279 points from the members of the jury. The Kia EV6 will also be recorded as the third electric model to win this award, after the Nissan Leaf and Jaguar I-Pace.
