has acquired the broadcast rights to the European Athletics Championships for the years 2024 and 2026. The rights were granted to as part of the extension agreement made by the European Athletics Association (EA) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
The comprehensive package also includes EC indoor competitions, youth EC competitions in different age groups and team EC competitions until 2027.
– Athletics is one of the most beloved sports for Finns, and has a long and successful tradition of presenting prestigious competitions. The next EC outdoor track championships will be held in Rome in June 2024, and the 2026 championships will be held in Birmingham, England.

also has the broadcasting rights to the World Championships in athletics until 2029. The next World Championships will be held in Budapest, Hungary, in August 2023. Athletics will also be seen as part of the Summer Olympics, for which has the rights until 2032.
