Europe wins a game against China, Caps makes the big announcement – but the final opponent is waiting

In League of Legends, the best player in the West, the Dane Rasmus “Caps” Winther (24), had a great day in LoL. At the MSI 2024 with G2 he was able to eliminate a team from China’s overpowering rivals. Caps made some big noises and has a chance to prove himself. Because the final opponent is already waiting for him tomorrow: Faker and T1 will play against G2 on May 17th. about all or nothing.

Which game did G2 win? G2 was actually able to eliminate one of the 4 overwhelming teams from the East at MSI 2024:

  • Caps and his men clearly defeated TES, Top Esports, the second best team from China, 3-0
  • Experts, real LoL stars like 369, Tian and JackeyLove play at Top Esports – but that wasn’t enough this time
  • With all other teams from the West now eliminated, G2 is the last European representative. In addition to them, there are 2 teams from South Korea (the nightly Gen G. with Chovy and T1) and a team from China, BLG with Xun and Knight.

    He’s waiting for caps tomorrow:

How well did Caps play? Caps is seen by experts as one of the decisive players on his team. The previously harshly criticized bot laner Hans Sama won the game’s MVP award.

This play in particular is a prime example of Caps’ strong performance:

    Caps says: No more excuses

This is what Caps said: Caps had some strong words in an interview with Dexerto after his win against the team from China. He says:

“I think the effort I put in every day determines how well I play. What if I win Worlds? Then it’s just me. When people say things like “Oh, we’re from Europe” or “Oh, I’m too old,” those are just excuses.

In the interview he praises his teammates: Hans Sama has proven that he is the best Draven, better than Jackeylove. His top player Broken Blade played fantastically in Game 3.

He now finally has a team at G2 that goes all in and gives everything.

Caps says there are still big mountains to climb. Gen G. and BLG are very strong. If you want to have a chance against them, you have to improve even further.

How is this discussed? For many, Caps is the best player in the West, but that is seen as big words. It is believed that this is a declaration of war against players in the West who downplay themselves.

When can he prove it? Tomorrow, Friday, May 17th, T1 and Faker await G2 in the rematch.

It’s all about everything here: Whoever wins will be in the semi-finals against the Chinese from BLG. Whoever loses flies home.

The last match against G2 ended in a narrow defeat for Caps. T1’s top planner showed shockingly little respect for the best team in Europe: LoL: 20-year-old shows no respect for the best team Europe has to offer
