Euronext Growth Milan, 33% of companies disclose ESG aspects on a voluntary basis

(Finance) – As of June 30, 2024, out of a total of 206 companies, 68 are companies listed on Euronext Growth Milan (EGM) which provide avoluntary disclosure on ESG aspects in a specific document, or 33% of the market, with a total capitalization of 3,358 million euros, equal to 41.9% of the total capitalization of the EGM market. These are the data from the latest research by CFO SIM on the topic.

The calculation takes into account companies that have published one of the following documents with respect to the 2022 fiscal year and/or the 2023 fiscal year: Sustainability report; Impact report; ESG report.

Although such a small sample cannot yet be considered truly significant, of the 68 companies with an ESG profile considered, 31% operate in the sector Industrialfollowed by Technology (25%), Consumer Discretionary (16%) and Healthcare (6%).

There are also 20 Benefit Corporation currently listed on Euronext Growth Milan, (almost 10% of the total) with a total capitalization of 658 million euros. In line with the statistics on companies that report on ESG aspects, the sector overview shows that 40% of Benefit companies operate in the Technology sector (8), while the other companies are distributed between Industrial (3), Consumer Staples (2), Consumer Discretionary (2), Financial (2), Basic Material (1), Utilities (1) and Healthcare (1).

In addition, 6 companies have obtained the B-Corp certification (Caribbean Company, Doxee, Eprcommunication, Networks, Vantea Smart And Xenia Hotellerie Solutions).
