Eurocity connections to Switzerland and Germany are back

(Finance) – The returns, from September, Eurocity connections to Switzerland and Germany currently subject to limitations, suspensions and changes of route due to the interruption of the line in the Gotthard Tunnel from 10 August 2023 and the Simplon Tunnel from 9 June 2024. It will therefore be possible again to reach cities such as Zurich in 3 hours and 17 minutes from Milanand other destinations in Switzerland and Germany such as Geneva, Basel, Lucerne, Frankfurt, Bern, Lausanne, Lugano, Montreux, crossing the magnificent Alpine landscapes.

From Milan It will also be possible to travel to Germany as far as Freiburg, Mannheim, Ringsheim and Frankfurt. Switzerland is also connected with the Liguria and Emilia-Romagna thanks to the Eurocity between Zurich and Bologna and between Zurich and Genoa, with the latter extended to Sestri Levante during the weekend, from 2 September to 27 October.

Eurocity connections are operated by Trenitaliathe leading company of the FS Group Passenger Hubin cooperation with Swiss railway companies. Connections to and from Frankfurt also see the partnership with German railways.
