(Finance) – EuroAPIthe pharmaceutical ingredients business spun off from Sanofi, went public today on Euronext Paris. Sanofi will retain 30% of the company after the transaction. EPIC Bpifrance, acting on behalf of the French State, has undertaken to acquire 12% of the capital of EuroAPI, which is the world’s leading producer of small molecules and the second largest producer of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). The market capitalization at the admission price (12 euros per share) is approximately 1.1 billion euros.
This is theeleventh company listed on Euronext Paris in 2022 and the largest listing of a Life Sciences company in Europe in 2022 (in terms of market capitalization). Furthermore, it is the largest company in the pharmaceutical value chain to be listed on the Euronext markets since 2012.
