Euro Zone October consumer confidence above

(Finance) – Signs of improvement in the confidence of European consumers. The flash estimate of the latest monthly survey, conducted by the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Community (DG ECFIN), shows that the Consumer sentiment is still negative but shows a dating indicator at -27.6 points in October compared to -28.8 in September. Market expectations were for a worsening down to -30 points.

In the European Union as a whole, the indicator is equal to -29 points, down by 0.6 points compared to the previous month.

Both indicators thus renew their negative records.
