Several French stars are under threat of suspension.
Of course, the French team is still far from qualifying for the semi-finals of Euro 2024. But in the event of a victory this Friday evening against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal, the Blues could see several of their players suspended. Indeed, if Adrien Rabiot misses this quarter-final due to an accumulation of yellow cards, others could miss the semi-final for the same reason.
In total, there are four names, and not the least, in danger. The first concerned, captain Kylian Mbappé, cautioned in the 90th minute of the first match of the group stage against Austria. He had returned to the pitch without the referee’s permission after receiving treatment. Ousmane Dembélé, probably on the bench, was also sanctioned with a yellow card against Austria. But also for Aurélien Tchouaméni and Antoine Griezmann, who received a yellow card against Belgium in the round of 16.
