Euro 2024: the terrifying stats of the Blues before the 8th against Belgium

Euro 2024 the terrifying stats of the Blues before the

Start of the final phase of Euro 2024 on Saturday June 29 with a terrifying statistic for France.

The Blues of Didier Deschamps will face Belgium this Monday, July 1st, at 6 p.m., for a place in the quarter-finals. A match that promises to be particularly tense against a well-known opponent who has still not digested the semi-final of the world Cup 2018. The French team also met Belgium in October 2021, again in the semi-finals, but this time in the Nations League. And they once again put the Belgian players “on edge”. Trailing by two goals at half-time, Didier Deschamps’ men finally won 3-2. The Belgians were surprised by Benzema, then caught up by a penalty from Mbappé. It was finally Theo Hernandez who came to crucify them in the 90th minute.

But before this match, a rather terrifying statistic crosses France since the Blues have almost the same journey as at Euro 2020. And as we know, the Blues were eliminated on penalties against Switzerland in the 8th round. In detail and to prove this similarity, the Blues won the first match thanks to an own goal (Germany in 2021, Austria in 2024), the second match ended in a draw (Hungary in 2021 and the Netherlands in 2024) and the third as well, with goals scored on penalties by both teams (Portugal in 2021 and Poland in 2024)…
