France played its very first Euro 2024 match against Austria this Monday, June 17. Expected and considered favorites for this European Nations Championship, the Blues responded by winning 1-0. The Blues therefore respond to the Netherlands who won on Sunday afternoon against Poland with a score of 2-1. The two big nations in this group will face each other in a sort of group final, this Friday evening at 9 p.m.

This Monday also saw the very first surprise of this Euro with the victory of Slovakia against the Red Devils of Belgium. As in the last world Cup, Belgium’s level of play was worrying even if they were unlucky with two goals refused during the match. Earlier today in this group, Romania had fun against Ukraine, winning 3-0. In the ranking, Belgium therefore already has its back against the wall.
