EU Parliament Salvini Le Pen pact for a united centre right

(Finance) – “Unity of the centre-right, no opening to majorities with the left and eco-fanatics, determination to change this Europe”. These are the three pillars of pact signed by Matteo Salvini and Marine Le Pen during their conversation on the twenty-fifth floor of The Hotel, in Brussels. A line shared shortly afterwards inmeeting with all the leaders who make up Identity and Democracy: in addition to Salvini and Le Pen, the president of the Flemish populists Vlaam Belang, Tom Van Grieken; the president of Id Gerolf Annemans; the leader of Chega André Ventura; the leader of the PVV, the Dutch Geert Wilders; the Czech Tomio Okamura; the MEP of the Austrians of Fpo Harald Vilimsky; the Danish Morten Messerschmidt; the leader of Chega André Ventura.

“It went great,” said the leader of the League at the end of the summit of sovereignist leaders in Brussels. Salvini said nothing else, limiting himself to smiling at those who asked him if the agreement with Le Pen had been good. “European citizens have expressed themselves with great clarity. Only Macron and Von der Leyen didn’t notice it” comments the League.

The common goal is subvert the majority Ursula strengthened by an electoral result that could lead the Identity and Democracy group to have over seventy MEPs, with the possible return of the Germans from AfD.

Three days after the vote, the situation is more fluid than ever with the composition of the new EU Parliament still uncertain with on the side
right side of the chamber several delegations elected from the Non-attached CGE are preparing to join the ID group, dominated by Le Pen.
