EU leaders will meet on Monday at a dinner to hold preliminary discussions on the distribution of the top jobs in the Union.
Politico says that at the moment there seems to be a consensus Ursula von der Leyen from the extension period under the leadership of the EU Commission.
In addition to the President of the Commission, EU leadership positions include, for example, the President of the European Council, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and the President of the Parliament.
The official nominations are scheduled to take place next week.
