(Finance) – The EU renews its commitment with Egypt to relaunch “the economy, investments, reforms and green transition”, pillars of the EU-Egypt strategic partnership. This is what was reported EU Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Suicaafter a conversation in Brussels with the Egyptian ambassador Ayman Tharawat Amin Abdel Aziz.
“We look forward to deepening our ties,” he stressed Suica. As part of the agreement signed on 17 March 2024 in Cairo, the EU plans a financial support to Egypt amounting to 7.4 billion euros until 2027. The plan includes 5 billion in subsidized loans, 1.8 billion in investments and 600 million in non-repayable funds, of which 200 million dedicated to migration management.
