EU countries warn tourists from going to the United States

In recent weeks, several detention of European tourists has taken place at the US border. The events have led to a larger international oras over US strict supervisory methods, reports the news agency Ap.

Now, nine EU countries are warning their citizens who are planning to travel to the United States, and are changing the travel recommendations for those who are going into the country.

The countries primarily highlight the risks of transgender people and non-binary travelers, and recommend caution or in some cases direct consultation with US embassies before departure.

EU countries include Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, France, Portugal, Ireland, the Netherlands and Belgium.

More countries are expected to update their travel guides for the United States in the coming weeks.
