(Finance) – The European Commission has approvedpursuant to the EU Merger Regulation, theacquisition of joint control of the Canadian Recurrent Energy by the Canadian Canadian Solar and the American BlackRock Financial Management. The transaction primarily concerns the development and operation of large-scale solar and energy storage projects.
The Commission concluded that the notified operation would not raise competition concerns, given that the companies do not operate in the same or vertically related markets. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified concentration examination procedure.
