(Finance) – The European Commission ha approvedpursuant to the EU Merger Regulation, theacquisition of exclusive control of the Swedish Nordic Paper Holding by the American Strategic Value Partners. The transaction mainly concerns the sale of specialty paper, in particular kraft paper and greaseproof paper.
The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given the limited combined market position of the companies resulting from the proposed transaction. The notified transaction was examined under the Simplified Merger Review Procedure.
