(Finance) – The European Commission has approvedpursuant to the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of exclusive control of the Spanish company Windar Renovables by the British investment company Bridgepoint Group.
The transaction mainly concerns the production of offshore wind towers and foundations for wind turbines.
The Commission concluded that the notified operation would not raise competition concerns, given that the companies they do not operate in the same markets or in vertically related markets. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified concentration examination procedure.
