(Finance) – The European Commission has approved, pursuant to the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of the exclusive control of Novamont by Versalis, a chemical company from Eni. The operation mainly concerns the market of bioproducts and biochemical products from renewable resources.
The Commission concluded that the notified operation would not raise competition concerns, given the limited combined market position of the companies resulting from the proposed transaction. The transaction was reviewed under the normal review procedure.
