(Finance) – The European Commission ha approvedpursuant to the EU Merger Regulation, theacquisition of joint control of Connexa of New Zealand by the Caisse de depot et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (OTTP), both of Canada. The transaction primarily concerns the supply of mobile telecommunications infrastructure in New Zealand.
The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given thelimited impact on the European Economic Area. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
