(Finance) – The European Commission has approvedpursuant to the EU Merger Regulation, theacquisition of exclusive control of some assets currently held by Vion from Tonnies, both German companies. The operation mainly concerns the sale of fresh and processed meat.
The Commission concluded that the notified operation noIt would not raise competition concerns, given the limited market positions of the companies resulting from the proposed transaction. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified concentration examination procedure.
