Austria submitted its energy and climate plan to the European Commission on Tuesday 20 August. The text was expected in June. The country is not alone in this case, only ten Member States have submitted their copies. These documents are nevertheless essential for the continent’s strategy in its objective of combating global warming and this delay undermines the scope of the EU’s voice in international negotiations.
