EU Antitrust puts the purchase operation of Air Europa by

(Finance) – The Commission Antitrust of the European Union raises doubts about the process acquisition of Air Europto mbelieving that the operation could limit competition both on domestic routes to the Balearic and Canary Islands, and between Madrid and European capitals.

Iag has planned to acquire the remaining 80% of the Air Europa shares not yet in his possession for a value of 400 million euros. The EU Antitrust Commission will have to give its decision by 7 June, but it is very likely that it will be able to formulate a series of observations as early as March.
