In Ethiopia, fighting has resumed in Oromia, the country’s largest region, for a week. For three years, this region has been plagued by conflict between government forces and the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) rebellion. A round of talks for a peace agreement brought the two parties together in early May, without any significant progress. While discussions will continue in a second round, the fighting continues. Many observers are calling on the international community to put pressure on the belligerents.
