In Escape from Tarkov you can now increase your stash with microtransactions. The players are divided on what they think about it.
What’s the warehouse expansion all about? Escape from Tarkov is now selling expansions to the storage facility, called the Stash, that players use to store their loot and gear.
On the Extraction Shooter’s website you can now buy up to 28 rows, which will then expand your warehouse, buying at least 2 rows for €3. You would therefore have to pay €42 for all 28 rows.
Why is the size of the warehouse important? In Escape from Tarkov you complete missions, sell your loot for dollars or rubles, and collect equipment and ammunition to keep. Everything you bring from a raid has to be stored somewhere, which is why storage is an important part of the gameplay loop.
Experienced Tarkov players don’t have empty backpacks or vests in their stash, but instead squeeze everything together and expand their storage capacity with boxes – the main thing is that you get as much stored as possible. However, the warehouse will eventually reach its limits if you don’t make sure to sell all unnecessary items immediately.
The fact that you can now buy storage capacity for real money has a direct impact on your gaming experience and can simplify a crucial aspect of the shooter – organizing your own stash.
What do the players say about this? Players have many different opinions about the camp upgrade. Some find it very expensive, others say the price is reasonable. For some the extension is pay-to-win, for others it’s completely fine:
Some players also criticize on x.com that, as owners of the EOD version, they do not receive the Stash upgrade for free. For example, user “Taylor_btw” writes: “It seems somewhat concerning that EOD should give me future expansions for free, but not this one.”
