Esa Lindell ensured Dallas victory by hitting into the void

The Dallas Stars evened the wins in the Western Conference Finals, beating the Edmonton Oilers 3-1. Finnish defender Miro Heiskanen picked up an assist again.

The Dallas Stars tied the series of hockey’s NHL Western Conference finals with certainty. The Texas club beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-1 the night before Sunday. The wins in the final series are now 1–1.

Dallas’ Finnish defender Esa Lindell secured the victory when he put the puck into an empty net two minutes before the decision. So is the defender representing Dallas Miro Heiskanen picked up the second assist on his team’s opening goal.

Heiskanen has collected 5+9=14 power points in 15 playoff games this season and leads the club’s internal points market. Lindell now has the power of 2+1=3. Dallas striker Roope Hintz and defender Jani Hakanpää were still sidelined with injuries.

Will Hintz return to real action soon?

Hintz was on the morning ice before the second meeting of the conference finals, but has not yet returned to actual action.

From the head coach of Dallas From Pete DeBoer was asked about Hintz’s importance to the team. According to the NHL website DeBoer responded with a rhetorical question: How would the Oilers and New York Rangers play without their No. 1 center fielders? Edmonton’s number one center is Connor McDavid and Rangers Mika Zibanejad.

– He is big. He skates. He is a 60-meter player. He’s one of our best defensive players, best underdogs, creates an offensive threat. Missing something from the list? He is physical, the head coach described.

Also known as a fast skater, Hintz is 191 centimeters tall and weighs one hundred kilograms. He has been injured on the sidelines for four playoff games now. Before that, he managed to collect 2+4=6 power points in 11 matches. Last season, he was his team’s best scorer in the playoffs with 10+14=24.

– He promotes the game. He’s great, so yeah, it would be great to have him back in the lineup, the Dallas forward Wyatt Johnston stated before the match.

Dallas and Edmonton will next meet on the night before Tuesday Finnish time.
