The biggest problems are, next to the pond, with the facade of the high-rise buildings. The choice was made for a facade of two parts, an inner layer and a so-called skin. This skin consists partly of glass and partly of facade cloth. The facade cloth appears to have been stretched incorrectly, large cracks appeared in the cloth from the start. That canvas should have lasted fifty years, but it wore out within a few years. Subsequently, there were many years of haggling with contractor BAM as to who was to blame for this assembly error. In 2021, all 179 facade cloths were eventually replaced. Some of them have a length of 53 meters.
