The performance is also an ode to the body: the dancers have performed rituals to seek out and admit the energy. “Nowadays we are so in our heads, on our screens, we try to put everything into words, sometimes we forget that real life takes place in our physical existence. The only thing I really know for sure is that I was born in a body and 80 years later or so, I go out of that body again. So we have that body to experience life. But what’s the point of walking here on earth all this time without being in my body? And that includes sharing with each other. When I feel my own body I can make real contact with the world around us. So let it be about the physicality, about the energy, what you taste, what you smell, what you hear , what you see, what you feel, with your whole body. And we noticed, if you let it, that life energy wants to get out, then the roof comes off.”
