Ericsson is planning a global warning

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

On Monday, Ericsson stated that approximately 1,400 positions will be removed from Ericsson in Sweden after negotiations with union representatives have been concluded.

As far as the Swedish jobs are concerned, the idea is that the reduction should be carried out with voluntary departures.

Group CEO Börje Ekholm explained already last autumn that the ambition is to reduce costs in the group by SEK 9 billion, including through staff reductions.

The savings in Sweden take place across all units, from engineers to administrative staff and more. On top of this, Ericsson gets rid of a number of consultants.

According to the group’s website, Ericsson had approximately 14,500 employees in Sweden and 105,000 employees globally in 2022.
