You will therefore know the score that the Reconquest candidate! obtained in the different French geographical areas. We will also reveal the abstention rate in France, which, according to estimates, is likely to be even higher than in the last election (as a reminder, it was 22.23% in the first round and 25.44 % in the second round of the 2017 presidential election), as well as the participation rate, which is likely to be down compared to 2017 (as a reminder, it was 77.77% in the first round and 74.56% in the second round of the 2017 presidential election). Immigration is at the center of Éric Zemmour’s program for this presidential election. This is also the first time that the candidate Reconquest! is running for the supreme mandate and therefore had to propose a complete project on the subjects that interest the French. We are providing you with an update on the measures proposed by Éric Zemmour. Its entire program is available in PDF.
In the field of‘immigration that he constantly evokes, the polemicist says he wants to put an end to the jus soli and stop or limit all the flows whether they are justified by family reunification or the right of asylum. A major point of its policy is the “return of undesirable foreigners”, either illegal immigrants and delinquents or criminals. He wants to “return to the original spirit of the right of asylum” by limiting it to a hundred individuals each year and requiring that asylum applications be filed outside the national territory. It also intends to select foreign students on merit, by welcoming only the most promising profiles in the sectors useful for France, but also to introduce a compulsory deposit of 10,000 euros for obtaining a visa for foreigners from countries from which the majority of illegal immigrants come in order to limit entry and finance any deportations to the border.
The candidate Reconquest! wishes to revalue up to 600 euros per year the small retreats less than 1,300 euros net by completely exempting them from CSG and contribution for the reimbursement of the social debt. He also wants to upgrade the pensions of widows and widowers by increasing the survivor’s pension from 54% to 75% of that of the deceased spouse. Eric Zemmour wants to raise the legal retirement age to 64 and set up a senior index to encourage companies to keep seniors in employment. Finally, for people in combined employment and retirement who have already validated all their quarters of contributions, pension contributions will be eliminated.
The far-right candidate intends to create “a large Ministry of Public Instruction” whose mission will be to “rebuild the school“. A priority, according to him, because “for forty years, we have used the school to indoctrinate children”. He advocates a return of the blouse, a symbol of “social equality”. Éric Zemmour also wishes restore the certificate of studies and the “level classes” in college and, to focus teaching on the fundamentals “reading, writing, counting”, the candidate also announces that he would ignore foreign languages in primary school if elected.
Mocked for his weaknesses in terms of the economy, the former journalist says he is in favor of the introduction of 39 hours in the public service or even the massive reduction in production taxes. He also advocates the creation of a large Ministry of Industry to direct public orders to French companies and makes the reindustrialization of the country a priority. It promises “65 billion euros in savings over a full year”, including 20 billion thanks to the “abolition of non-contributory benefits for non-European foreigners” such as family allowances, housing aid or the RSA.
The nationalist candidate spoke briefly about European politics and pleads for the national sovereignty on European law. Another proposal is that of border control to manage migration policy and wishes to put forward a “Europe of Nations”. Éric Zemmour wishes to interrupt the process of Turkey’s accession to the European Union and refuse any enlargement of the latter.
- On the issue of wages, Éric Zemmour proposes a reduction in the CSG from 9% to 2.5% for wages between the minimum wage and 2,000 euros net and says he is against a return of the ISF. For the purchasing powerthe candidate wants to return to “the universality of family allowances” and “exempt overtime from taxes and social charges”.
- For’environment and energy transition, Éric Zemmour wants to ban new wind projects and freeze existing ones, then redirect efforts and public support towards thermal renewable energies. To limit the artificialization and pollution of the soil, he plans to “prohibit the construction of new large surfaces and commercial areas”.
- Among the other proposals hammered by the candidate, there is the return to 90km / h. On the Covid, he says he is opposed to the vaccination pass which he wishes to repeal.
