Eredivisie water polo battered UZSC loses topper ZPC Amersfoort beats

AMERSFOORT – A battered UZSC has lost the top match at Polar Bears in the Eredivisie water polo with 12-10. ZPC Amersfoort defeated SVH at the bottom 8-17.

UZSC, which had to do without a goal machine Benjamin Hoepelman due to the flu and head coach Mike van den Brink due to corona, fell 4-1 behind in the first period. Then they fought back and it was tense for a long time. The home team eventually won the game by scoring two more goals in the final phase. Joep de Jong was top scorer at UZSC with four goals.

UZSC is the number four in the Eredivisie with forty points from twenty matches. Polar Bears is up one place by six points.

Convincing ZPC Amersfoort
