Bülent Kenes worked at the newspaper Zaman, which was raided by Turkish police six years ago and closed. The newspaper had links to the Gülen movement, which the Turkish regime sees as a terrorist organization after the coup attempt in 2016. Yesterday, Turkish President Erdogan emphasized the demand that Kenes be deported from Sweden to Turkey. It happened after the meeting about Sweden’s NATO application with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in Istanbul.
