President Recep Tayyip Erdogan looks set to remain in power. When 85 percent of the votes have been counted in the second round of Turkey’s presidential election, he provisionally has 53 percent of the votes.
The challenger Kemal Kili daroglu is on 47 percent. The gap between the candidates is expected to narrow as the metropolitan votes begin to be counted.
In the last round, Erdogan almost got 50 percent of the votes, while the result was a disappointment for the challenger Kemal Kili daroglu.
