Technical equipment worth hundreds of thousands of kroner has been stolen from work vehicles during the construction of the Norrbotniabanan just outside Umeå.
According to the police, it is GPS equipment worth SEK 200,000.
– It’s about professional, criminal people who know exactly which equipment can be sold on the black market, says Mats Bruhn, on-call preliminary investigation leader to SVT.
The theft is suspected to have occurred sometime between Saturday evening and Sunday morning after staff left the workplace.
