During today’s Global Champions Tour Grand Prix, where the best crews from Saturday’s team class advanced, Eckermann and King Edward went out as the last crew.
Before that, ten riders had ridden flawlessly. Wilma Hellström on Cicci Bjn and Emma Emanuelsson on Canbella Blues PS were two of those who made it to the jump-off.
But Eckermann, who won the GP event last year, fell short of that feat and was booked for a remarkable 16 faults, breaking four barriers.
Also Peder Fredricson on Sv Vroom de la Pomme Z, failed to progress with his four faults.
