(Finance) – Carrefour Italy point son innovation confirming his sensitivity towards issues of social and environmental responsibility thanks to an ongoing collaboration agreement with Cents – fintech startup owning an end-to-end donation platform – based on a model Impact-as-a-Service™ – which simplifies theidentification and selection of non-profit organizations and their projects, together with the subsequent verification and reporting of fundraising processes.
In detail, Carrefour Italy – explains the note – has integrated the verified donations platform of Cents allwithin its digital systems (both apps and e-commerce), actively contributing to the support of some beneficial projects. A Stransformative energy chand looks to the future with responsibility and the desire to produce a positive social impact. With this initiative, in fact, Carrefour Italia will donate 1% of online orders exceeding one hundred euros, directly involving its customers, who – in the checkout phase – will have the opportunity to activate the charity initiative by deciding to allocate the amount in favor of one of these non-profit organizations and their projects: Fondazione Banco Alimentare Onlus, Marevivo and DONNEXSTRADA.
“The partnership with Carrefour Italia represents an important step forward in our mission to connect companies and brands with
high impact projects in the third sector. With this specific initiative, we are opening up new opportunities for the involvement of the large Carrefour Italia community, taking, together, significant steps with a view to having maximum transparency in the donation processes”, he underlinedor Riccardo Valobra, Co-founder of Cents.
“The collaboration with Cents is a tangible example of how Carrefour Italia is using innovation to make a difference in the communities in which it operates. This partnership allows us to make an important contribution as an enabler of concrete social commitment towards the territories in which we operate, combating food poverty, gender violence and protecting the environmental heritage that surrounds us. It is also a further step in our journey to become a Digital Retail Company, demonstrating how innovation can be a powerful tool for social change” he declared Alessandra Grendele, Director of E-Commerce, Marketing, Data and Digital Transformation of Carrefour Italia.
The campaign dedicated to Marevivo, DONNEXSTRADA and Banco Alimentare – we read again – will have an initial duration of three months, during which the donated funds will be used by the institutions for various projects and monitored by Carrefour Italia through the platform developed by the fintech startup. This system will allow simple, traceable and accountable management of donation processes, ensuring transparency and maximizing the impact generated over time.
Furthermore, the partnerships between the two realities will not be limited to this single initiative, but will continue for two years, allowing Carrefour Italia to further strengthen its CSR activities, increasing the involvement and support for the communities and territories in which it operates.
