Entrepreneurs worried: “Stomach ache for many more months”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

At a press conference on Thursday, Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M) and Energy and Business Minister Ebba Busch (KD) announced that the government is proposing an extended tax deferral for companies, in an attempt to mitigate the economic crisis.

In short, the proposal is about preventing companies from running out of money – problems with liquidity – and therefore opens the door for tax deferrals to be extended from 12 February to 12 September 2023.

But no new information about the promised electricity support was given during Thursday’s press conference – which was met with great disappointment among business owners.

– As the person in charge, I will sleep very badly at night and wonder how I will save up for this. It will probably be a recession and very high electricity prices, and it will really only hurt the stomach for many more months, says Rodrigo Wilner, who owns Oceanbryggeriet in Mölndal.
