Bjurholm municipality went into emergency mode on Monday morning due to the IT attack. The municipal manager Jimmy Johansson says that they got a better idea of the situation on Tuesday, but that the situation is still critical.
– We have been able to locate additional problems that are linked to not having access to our servers. Everything is out of reach, notes Jimmy Johansson.
The lack of internet affects entrepreneurs
One of the prioritized areas is resolving invoice management, as the municipality is currently unable to pay its suppliers. Another is to restore the internet connection to the broadband customers.
– We have high hopes of having it back within 24 hours, says Jimmy Johansson.
The lack of internet affects some entrepreneurs in the municipality. At Emma Elfving’s flower shop, customers can currently only pay with cash or Swish.
– It’s fragile when so much is digital, says Emma Elfving.
Big impact on home care
Some others that were also affected by the IT attack are, for example, the home service. Even if they are prepared.
– Our alarms work, but the attack has a big impact on us, says Joakim Svensson, who works at the home service.
