Jack Grealish scored his first World Cup goal ever.
Then he dedicated the historic finish to the boy Finlay, who has cerebral palsy, with a special target gesture.
“Massive respect to you,” reads one of the tributes to the English World Cup star on Twitter.
The World Cup is underway for England and the “Three Lions”, as the national team is called, got off to a dream start in the opening match against Iran on Monday. It was 6-2 to the English after double goals from, among other things Bukayo Saka and young Jude Bellingham’s very first championship goal.
Grealish’s success
Already at half-time the lead was up to 3-0 and the second half then became a very pleasant trip for England, who could give the chance to several substitutes. One of them was the billionaire Jack Grealish who got to make his World Cup debut and the day to honor also his first World Cup goal.

In the final minutes, the 27-year-old rolled in the 6-1 goal for England, which definitely turned the victory into a relegation. After Grealish’s historic goal, he celebrated with a specially made goal gesture.

“Eyes watering”
First a kiss to the stands which was then followed by a special dance with the arms. The English World Cup star dedicated the goal to the little boy Finlayhe is 11 years old and a big Manchester City supporter.

Finlay also lives with cerebral palsy, just like Grealish’s younger sister. When the boy got the chance to meet idol Grealish earlier this year, the Man City star promised to do the dance the next time he scores a goal.

So it was in the World Cup debut for England and Jack Grealish kept his promise to Finlay in the finest way with a heartwarming goal gesture in front of many millions of television viewers. On social media, the Englishman is now being praised for the beautiful gesture.

“The eyes are watering,” writes another.
“It warms my heart to think that Finlay saw this,” writes a third.
