Two days before the World Cup premiere, Qatar decided that no alcoholic beverages would be sold around all eight World Cup arenas. The international football association FIFA justified the decision as follows.
“After discussions between authorities in the host country, it has been decided to focus on non-alcoholic beverages at the Fifa Fan Festival, other supporter areas and official arenas,” the organization writes on its website.
But the ban does not seem to stop the football supporters. On twitter has appeared a clip where English football supporters are out looking for beer and the adventure ends unexpectedly, to say the least.
The clip shows how the English supporters encounter a Sheikh who takes them to a palace. There you can see, among other things, one of the supporters sitting and cuddling with a lion.
– We met a Sheikh who said he had beer. So we jumped into his Toyota Landcruiser which took us to his palace. He showed us his birds, lions and monkeys, it was crazy! , says one of the supporters TalkSport
