Energy transition Nucera accountants Ready handbook for professionals to support

(Finance) – “Da Ferrara we are launching a manifesto to try to innovate our profession in light of the innovations introduced by transition energy. Together with industry experts, we will create a handbook of actions and tools that professions can offer in this sector.” He declared it Maria Pia NuceraPresident of the ADC, during the National Congress of the Association of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts on the theme “Energy transition, a challenge for the market and for professionals”, held at the Refectory of the cloister of San Paolo in Ferrara.

“The profession is changing accountants now they are no longer the ones who only deal with ‘tax‘. They have always been true business consultants – added President Nucera -, fundamental when we need to accompany an energy and digital transition that will benefit both the economic and business systems. Reduction of costs operationalconsolidation of strategic partnerships, investment in the reputation and social impact of business activity, are the lines guide to be competitive on new markets”.

Stephen Bonaccini, president of the Emilia Romagna Region, underlined how: “The digital and ecological transition, which should see us as protagonists, are the lines most financed by the Pnrr. Hoping that the delays that are accumulating will be made up for. We are in mid-2023 and the fifth installment which should have already been financed is still under discussion. I hope that these issues will be resolved quickly because we have a historic opportunity that should not be missed. There are 190 billion euros for Italy to which are added 30 billion other items and 50 billion from the so-called Development and Cohesion Funds which can reach the Municipalities, the Regions and businesses through public tenders. We need new investments, particularly in a region like ours which has suffered 9 billion euros of damage due to climate events. The energy transition is one of the essential components to help businesses and families. Bills are starting to rise again. Fortunately, investments in renewables are increasing, we have a duty to respect what the United Nations and the European Union have set with the 2030 agenda. To do this we certainly need the help of professionals who will certainly play an absolute role prominence.”

She expressed her opinion on the role of professionals in the energy transition process Joanna Stefanelli, President ADC Ferrara: “The energy transition is a new and challenging topic. We professionals will be protagonists of this revolution as consultants for the companies with which we work, covering an increasingly strategic role as all-round consultants, able to assist entrepreneurs also in strategic and development choices. This is why we have placed the theme of the ecological transition at the center of our national congress, which will call all professionals to deal with this new reality. A revolution that must concern all the productive realities of the country, even the small provincial productive realities, like that of Ferrara, which must be valorised because they are able to offer that added value essential for relaunching the economy”.
