Enemies in Diablo 4 are so detailed, players can’t look away – rather stare than fight

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The design of Diablo 4 is an important issue for many fans. The high level of detail of the opponents meanwhile invites you to forget about fighting.

A much discussed topic:

Players praise enemy design: A thread is currently circulating on Reddit that has already collected over 1,400 upvotes after just 18 hours (as of March 26, 3:00 p.m.) and has met with a lot of approval.

In the thread, a user named “lord-dude” describes his impression of the game’s art design and says he’s never felt such an urge to look at enemy details.

In addition, according to his own statement, he would sometimes just stand there without fighting because he was looking at the different monsters.

[…] In my entire gaming career, I’ve never felt such an urge to look at the details of enemy models as I do in this game. I often stand and don’t fight just to see the details of the monsters. You know those rewards in games where you can look at the 3D models of the characters? That never interested me until Diablo 4.

Great work by the Diablo 4 crew. I can’t even say how much you hit my taste with the art style.

MeinMMO readers praise the optics: Not only on Reddit are there positive words about the design of Diablo 4. Some of you also praised the look of the game in our comments.

  • Katsuno: “Overall, I would say Diablo 4 was very well done. Looks are good, gameplay is great (with gamepad) and the rest is right [in der Beta] also (via MeinMMO).
  • Gothsta: “I couldn’t imagine Diablo without good graphics (appropriate for the Age of Creation). That’s important to me and the open world and the […] Dungeons are exactly what I like (via MeinMMO).”
  • Luripu: “Of course the game has to be fun, but the graphics help. Diablo 3 never picked me up with the comic book style, Diablo 4 feels right at home again (via MeinMMO).”
  • But some of you also said that the visuals of the game are not that important or even irrelevant if the gameplay is good. Still, it’s nice to see that Blizzard seems to have catered to the tastes of many Diablo fans with the style of the game.

There are even gamers who are moved to tears by certain design elements
