(Finance) – I Enel volunteers together with Legambiente Corporate Volunteering they redevelop urban parks and beaches to strengthen the connection with the territory and create value for local communities. In total, during the initiative which recently ended, there were collected over six quintals of unsorted wastefour of glass, four of metal and over two of plastic, plus thirty kilos of butts and waste.
The new activity, carried out as part of the Enel corporate volunteering program, involved over 300 employees lined up alongside Legambiente in the initiatives of Park, Beach Litter and Urban Redevelopment. The ten events took place throughout the national territory, in particular in the cities of Ameglia (La Spezia), Milan, Catania, Catanzaro, Naples, Padua, Palermo, Sassari, Pescara and Turin.
The collaboration between Enel and Legambiente Corporate Volunteering demonstrates that the synergy between companies and associations can generate concrete and lasting benefitscontributing to the construction of more aware and sustainable communities, in line with the sustainable development goals of the UN Agenda 2030.
Furthermore, the volunteer days for the environment represent an opportunity for Enel volunteers to receive on-the-job training and learn more about the value of the circular economyrespect for public places and commitment to safeguarding the environment and the context that surrounds us.
