(Finance) – Revenues of 88.3 billion euros for It is in theup by 22.3 billion euros (+ 33.8%) compared to the 66 billion euros achieved in 2020, according to the preliminary consolidated results for the 2021 financial year.
The change – explains the company in the account note – is mainly attributable to:increase in revenues from Infrastructures and Networks, essentially due to the greater quantities transported, consequent to the increase in the demand for electricity; toincrease in Enel Green Power’s revenues, mainly as a result of the increased production from renewable sources; to the higher revenues from Final Markets, due to the increase in the sale of electricity in Italy and Latin America; toincrease in revenues of Enel X, due to the increase in services associated with new commercial initiatives and demand response activities; to the higher revenues from thermoelectric generation e Trading due to the increase in the quantities of electricity and gas sold and to the greater trading activities on commodities relating to contracts with physical delivery.
The increase in revenues also includes the income realized from the sale of the investment held in Open Fiber. This increase in revenues more than offset the negative exchange rate effect, mainly in Latin America.
L’EBITDA ordinary amounts to 19.2 billion euros, an increase of 1.2 billion euros (+ 6.7%) compared to 18 billion euros in 2020.
L’Financial debt net at the end of 2021 it was equal to 52 billion euros (45.4 billion euros at the end of 2020, + 14.5%).
