(Finance) – The commitment of Enel Green Power (Group Is in the) in favor of the energy transition and the growth of renewables in Italy, with the start-up of the Castelmauro wind farm in Molise. The plant is located between the municipalities of Castelmauro and Roccavivara, in the province of Campobasso, and consists of seven wind turbines of 4.2 MW eachfor a total power equal to 29.4 MW.
The new wind farm it will produce around 70 GWh each year from renewable sources, avoiding the emission into the atmosphere of approx 30 thousand tons of CO2 per year and the use of 15 million cubic meters of gas, contributing with renewable energy produced locally to the reduction of Italy’s energy dependence on foreign sources.
