Enel fundraising for employees for the emergency in Ukraine with

(Finance) – The Enel Group has decided to start a global campaign of collection funds, aimed at its employees, in support of the activities promoted by Save the Children and UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency), in consideration of the humanitarian emergency that is hitting Ukraine and in order to support the civilian populations involved. The two organizations are engaged in various humanitarian actions put in place to respond to the needs of refugees and displaced persons in the country and neighboring ones.

Enel CuoreEnel’s non-profit organization which has been involved in supporting initiatives in favor of fragile and disadvantaged individuals since 2003, will double the amount of the donation that each colleague will allocate to one or both Organizations during the two weeks of the campaign.

Save the Children for over 100 years it has been fighting to save girls and boys at risk and to guarantee them a future. The Organization has been present in Ukraine since 2014 and is distributing basic necessities to children arriving in Poland and Romania, where it carries out specific activities for the protection of unaccompanied minors or those separated from their families. It has also set up spaces where children, thanks to the support of specialized operators, can play and have the support to process the trauma suffered and find some peace of mind.

UNHCR, UN Refugee Agency, protects people forced to flee their homes due to conflict and persecution. It works in over 130 countries to protect millions of people, responding with life-saving assistance, safeguarding basic human rights and helping them build a better future. In relation to the current emergency situation, UNHCR is present in Ukraine, Romania, Hungary and Poland, as well as having set up two new reception centers in Italy for women and children from Ukraine, providing them with basic necessities.
